The next four years in the City of Ceres hold tremendous potential for growth and development. By 2026, the city's population will surpass 50,000, making Ceres even more attractive to businesses and corporations seeking new opportunities. Economic development is poised to surge even more then it has from 2020 -2024, bringing new industries, more jobs, and greater ambitions for the community.

We make it Easy to build in Ceres, No more red tape!
The Service and Mitchell Road bridge project will commence soon, while the construction of a tertiary waist plant, already approved by the city council, will also be underway. Alongside these projects, 7,000 homes will be built on the other side of the 99 freeway,
transforming the area with the possibility of mix use and of commercial and residential spaces, including new restaurants. This development, scheduled to begin in 2026, promises to bring more revenue and opportunities to Ceres.
With new parks, homes, and an influx of community members, the city will see a significant increase in tax revenue. This will allow us to maintain clean and safe streets, as well as improve infrastructure across the city. Additionally, a newly awarded grant will enable the city to plant thousands of new trees, further enhancing its status as a proud member of Tree City USA and Arbor City.
Under Mayor Lopez’s leadership, the city has already made great strides, and the coming solar initiatives will take it even further. Solar projects for Riverbluff CYB, City Hall, the police department, and the fire department are on the horizon, with plans to reduce emissions and save costs—all without burdening taxpayers.
