Building a Stronger Community

​Over the past three years, Mayor Javier Lopez has hosted the Bridging the Gap event, a pivotal initiative aimed at connecting local business owners with valuable resources. With the support of Ground Up Productions, this event has created a platform for fostering collaboration and growth within the community. Held at the Ceres Community Center, the event has brought together key organizations such as the City of Ceres, the SBDC, the Latino Chamber, and the Ceres Chamber of Commerce.

The primary goal of Bridging the Gap is to close the divide between business owners and the resources they need to thrive. From offering guidance to entrepreneurs to providing access to funding and development opportunities, the event ensures that local businesses have the tools to succeed. Mayor Lopez’s vision for this event is to empower business owners, strengthen the local economy, and build a network of support that continues to uplift Ceres for years to come.
